Your pixel animations look amazing. And I think you should look for a program(if yours not already have the option), that allow you to reduce the time each frame takes to change to another. I use the old Ulead GIF animator 5, Reducing each frame from your original GIF of 0.40sec to 0.05sec and look: http://i.imgur.com/Lm5Z6.gif the rocket get a boost... don't kill me for put my big nose here, this is not a critic just an advise so your animations look even more amazing ;].

It is amazingly kind and generous of you. And, as for killing anyone over critique I love critique. ;) Never enough of a good thing, and nothing helps you improve better than the advice of someone who has been doing it for longer. I will definitely look into getting a GIF animating program, and I'll certainly start by looking up Ulead GIF animator 5!

Also what a difference that time lapse makes! That second gif you linked is so much more dynamic, it just looks faster! Thank you for the visual aide to your advice, now I know I really should look into this sort of stuff!

I thought I was death burr xD... Well Ulead GIF animator was the first program I ever use for making animations, and I still use it after All these years. Is really basic, but as artist these days prefer to use flash. There hasn't being any new programs for make GIF animations, what is really a shame :[.
