Kinda curious about the thought process that led up to doing this? I do pick up on the "there was something that killed a *lot* of humans, that's not an intentional burial" part

Oh, I'm frightfully sorry that I haven't replied in (checks date) a month??!?! Oh, man, I have been *really* neglecting this account U_U, again, apologies.

The thought process as well might be somewhat disappointing, but here it is:

In most of these comics there isn't really a narrative, rather I'm trying to capture a feeling I've had on site. This comic was born from, perhaps, more of a thought connection (?) than a vibe: roadkill on the way to site, wildlife frozen dead on site, digging graves. A landscape of death, a sort of *memento mori* maybe.

A couple of people have told me this specific comic had a weird feel, and I dig it (hah, archaology pun). I love that people are building their own narratives from it, makes me feel like it's more alive though it's about death! The two things often come hand in hand.
