Day 160 - March 13th, 2741
We managed to get the drone up in the air. A little wobbly, but able to hold flight. We ended up needing to replace most of the coolant system. Wrench showed me how to cut and fasten rubber hoses to carry the coolant. Seems simple, but I'd imagine the adhesive and tape used for making the liquid-tight seals would be difficult to find if you didn't have a network of supplies like these folk do. But something like ball bearings would probably be impossible, which was needed for the turbine. But it seems Wrench had some salvage lying around from other disassembled drones.
Rose came back on the 11th and has been in and out of the hideout ever since. But when I do see him, I notice he has been keeping a closer eye on me, more than the initial few days. I want to just walk right up to him and ask what he is doing, but I don't think it will go over well. So I'll be keeping my guard up extra high around him until he decides to tell me what is going on.
Brick is already preparing for more supply runs, but it's a few days out before that happens. So everyone is just doing their own things, it seems. I'm still helping Wrench, who moved on to tailoring and armor repair. Apparently, in the first week of March, Brick got into a fight with an organized group based out in these tunnels. A few scuffs on his armor from bullets, and some straps that will need to be replaced. Also we need to repair his holster since it got sliced by a bullet fragment when it hit the armor.
We got them done by the end of the day. Not too difficult, and Wrench tells me there is much more where that came from.
All this patchwork will be a useful skill to have. I should probably try to fix my old shirt sometime, and Wrench advised against patching my cloak. If anything, I should be using bits off my cloak to patch my shirt. The chest plate was perfectly fine. The bullet was low enough caliber that it didn't dent it. Hell, the only thing it did do was clean off the desert sand, so I don't need to do anything there.
