The SBD "Dauntless" Dive Bomber is easily an Aircraft that draws on a Legacy with anyone with knowledge of Aviation in the Pacific Front of WW2. Whilst considered outdated at the start of the War, this aircraft punched well above it's weight long into the Pacific War across almost every major battle fought on it's Seas with some Squadrons still operating it even after it's last major Battle at the Philippine Sea.
Be it scoring the first Victories of the USN's most Renowned ship, to Neutralizing Multiple Carriers in a single day, or even fending off Multiple Fighters alone, the Dauntless is not a name that any Historian Aviator will easily forget.
Thankfully, such times are in the past... But that doesn't make this bird any less fun to fly, even if only virtually!
