Aweeee im sorry to hear that, there is nothing I like to hear more than more people shooting film. You can do it in a cheaper manner, the film this is shot on is mad expired, i got it from a college surplus store. But at a certain point I know what you mean, costs are just too high. . . Most of the stuff I shoot like this is in digital since I usually only plan on giving it to friends. But I am so conservative with my film that I am finding it is expiring before I am using it which is how this set of shots came to be. I hope you manage to pick up your film camera soon an shoot away though :3
Heh, I learned photography through film classes back in 07/08, and the teacher was passionate about it, so it helped get me hooked. :p I need a better camera too. The ONLY reason I say that is because mine is battery operated, and the film came out in half frames the last couple times I developed it. Shutter's messed up I bet.
Oh strange, yea, I can agree with you there, I am not a fan of battery operated cameras. Many of the cameras i use don't even have lightmeters and some that do don't have functioning ones, usually you can get them cheaper if the lightmeter is broken XD.But I still hold out hopes that you manage to continue it someday soon.
Won't be anytime soon! I tried to get a darkroom setup a year and a half ago. Almost had every piece for it, and THEN the asshat selling a negative enlarger only sent me half of it. I filed a claim, and that didn't go anywhere. Ever since then I haven't bothered to pick up another. :P
Awe oh no! That is horrible XP. . . Im not sure if you have your eyes set on a particular one, but I have picked up a few off of craigslist and goodwill. A lot of the time people will just give away their whole darkroom for free if someone will pick it up for them. It might be worth checking craigslist if you haven't already.
