In the show we got plenty of evidence that Stella was not very active parent and was not very considerate of her daughters feeling. Via being the teenager was proven to be a rash decision maker and one not to easily change her mind. She also struggles with attention and abandonement issues. For her this is another instance of getting abandoned - her dad vanishes and the first interaction with what she get instead just proves to her that she is left alone with worse parent.
Welp doing paintings for this took longer than expected, after that everything just went smoothly.
On technical level i tried to play with a composition a bit more here, rule of thirds and the like.
Only one more part of Via arc to go.

Also if anyone reads this- do you prefer getting uploads of comics like this gradually or all at once?

Tbh the first one was just a TF romp and probably a lot of shouting only. Stolas and Stella argue plenty in the OG show so I did not feel the need to reprise that.
As for others I am still on the fence of writing these little things. On one hand I do feel like these things need a bit more context since there is a bit more story and interaction between characters in there. On the other one though I do try to plan drawing these things with intention of not needing dialogue and mostly conveying intention through showing things and letting the viewer infer things on their own.

These comic pages are a really fun continuation of the original piece! The art and the text descriptions gives a good look into how Stola is a sort of hybrid of two personalities, not quite just Stolas or Stella but a new flavor entirely, and that’s very cool!
Plus, I think you are doing a great job with the more ambitious comic layouts, good job with that!
