Personality: The crown prince of the Kingdom of Azurea is basically a free spirit. A young boy who loves to explore, travel the distance and discover always new places: adventurer at heart, he lives to see the world, to discover new cultures, to meet new people and see what all of Grimmoirea has to offer... or well, he would, if only his father let him.
Son of the great King Moanu, Efimmi is forced to keep his passion for the outside world for himself, as his father constantly clips his wings. After the death of Efimmi's mother, by the hands of humans, Azurea closed its borders to anyone who's not from the place, keeping outsiders out, and the inhabitants in, preventing any kind of contact with whoever is from another country. A measure of safety, this one, that locks all the citiziens of the kingdom... not that Efimmi, being a bit of a rebel, follows such rules in their entirety.
Even if understanding where his dad comes from, because of his loss, the young prince cannot force himself to hate the people of the surface: he finds them interesting, full of joy and life, and would want to meet some of them to be free from his father's clutches and to follow his dreams.
More often than not, the Anglerfish Merfolk sneaks away from the guards who has to excort him, going into the deepest abysses of the sea to fullfill his need for adventure, seeking what the people from above threw in the sea, and always discovering new aspects of their life. Every object he can collect from the people of the surface is a small treasure for him, hidden from King Moanu in a small cave near the royal palace, Efimmi's personal hideout.
Even if the young prince shows a bit of a naughty side, he would never do anything to actually hurt who he loves. Even if he runs away, and is often scolded by his father for doing so, he would never go directly against his orders and go on the surface... something that would break his heart as much as mentioning his older sister.
As far as Efimmi and the rest of the kingdom know, his big sister, Kailyna, betrayed her family: she led the queen's killer inside the royal palace of Azurea, causing the passing of her mother and breaking his father's heart, forcing him to cast her away forever from the kingdom. A shadow in the royal family's hystory, that got erased with a total damnatio memoriae for her crimes. The only thing remembered of her is her name, and the tragedy she caused.
Brave and corageous, Efimmi is the type who laughs in face of danger: a young man who overstimate himself a bit, risking his life more than he should. Troubles and disasters are a constant in his existence, and, more often than not, the prince of Azurea bites more than he can chew: risking too much, or betting on himself more than he actually is worth, Efimmi ends up usually in sticky situations... forcing his father to intervene and save him, just before some scoldings to rememeber.

Abilities: Being a Merfolk, Efimmi has all the basic qualities of his race: he's capable of breathing both on the surface and underwater, as well as being a very skilled swimmer, capable of riding underwater currents to soar through the deepest abysses of the ocean. Not a fighter, he's a quite capable runner, and extremely good in using the environment around him to dodge and strike back at who tries to hurt him, manipulating his opponents to use their own strenght against themselves.
Being an Anglerfish Merfolk, other than the previous abilities, he has a built-in light: the tip of his tail is bioluminescent, capable of lighting the darkest depths of the sea without issues... but being at the same time a double-edged sword, as he cannot turn off such light, being so more visibile if he tries to hide.
