You may find this surprising, but character to character, Arch would absolutely approach Thrasher in this state. But not to take his bone away, oh hell no.
He'd offer himself.
The magic field he uses his shearproof - fangs cannot penetrate it. But it can make itself feel like bone... a bone that never goes away, and that he can crunch to his heart's content. Right down to the marrow.
