A new refsheet, this time for Kay!

NAME: Lakaia, or 'Kay'
GENDER: Female, she/her
SPECIES: Cape Genet

BIO: Born to an insular cult-like group known as the Firewalkers, the taciturn Kay was taught from an incredibly young age to wield their characteristic reality-bending fire magic, a closely-guarded tradition supposedly upheld since the mythical Lost Age. Eventually, she came to learn more about the outside world and of all of the disasters that powers like theirs could have helped to prevent, and after rapidly growing disillusioned with the secrecy and isolation, she struck out on her own with little more than the clothes on her back, specifically seeking to become one of the highly-trained protectors of Earth she'd read about—a superhero—and lend her considerable abilities to this purpose, where she took on the designation 'Cinder'.

PERSONALITY: As one might expect, her isolated upbringing left her somewhat out of her element when it comes to social skills, and as a consequence she has trouble opening up to people, frequently coming off as cold or distant. Underneath this, though, is a passionate roaring flame who will jump at the first opportunity to help anyone in trouble regardless of danger to herself.

POWERS: Firewalker beliefs posit, not without good reason, that there was a calamity in the distant past (the 'Lost Age') so devastating that it frayed the very threads underpinning the laws of physics, allowing those with the proper knowledge, focus, and training to manipulate them and bend reality. For Kay in particular, this manifests primarily as pyrokinesis and control over temperature, teleportation, and a sort of 'sixth sense' for those threads and how they tie everything together.
