I would not go that far because you have no idea what way a countries politics will go. But in the current situation I support Ukraine.

In the current situation I support Ukraine only as long as US troops are not in Ukraine in any real numbers. A few advisory troops that are not within a hundred miles of the front lines I'm OK with. Some blame is on Ukraine for the invasion because they where not putting much effort in their own defense between 1991 and 2014. You don't go around waving red flags in fromt of bulls and think that the bull won't charge you.

Europe is actually putting in more effort in Ukraine as they should as they are the ones who are the ones who Russia will attack next if Ukraine ever falls. Actually it might be to Europe's benefit not to help Ukraine to actually win the war but to just keep the fighting going for years as the longer the war lasts the more damage it is to the Russian state as Russia could actually become bankrupt over paying for the war. The only reason Russia has been able to have kept fighting going on this long is that they inherited massive amounts of USSR cold-war equipment that Russia has been going through in blinding speed. Once all of the USSR cold war equipment is all used up Russia may be forced to retreat back to the pre 2014 borders.

As for the US the US does not have much of anything really to lose if Ukraine falls. There is no way that Russia could invade the US as the only country who has a military ability that could actually pull off an invasion across an ocean is the USA as the US is the only country who has the blue water transportation logistics ability to do so. As such the US could just stay out of it entirely letting Europe take care of their own internal issues. I don't support this as there is the matter of right and wrong.

The next country that has any real ability to cross a sea to do a beach invasion is China and that is only crossing about a hundred miles to Taiwan and its highly likely they will fail quite comically and only thing they will accomplish is to outright humiliate them self's in their outright gross incompetence.

Well I for one think it would be a disaster to loose Ukraine. That is such a beautiful country. With innocent people. I just cannot stand the thought of Ukraine becoming a part of Russia.
