Nathan Pickard is an extensively serious young man with a heavily intense admiration for Japanese animation. When he was given the opportunity to visit a world where anime was real, he took up the offer immediately. But he did not expect an unfortunate loophole: similar to multiple animated series in the 90s, some animation in American shows was being outsourced to Japanese studios, thus technically making them "Japanese animation." Unfortunately for him, he was stuck working in a country of toons centered on American animation.
