March 10 is the designated Mario Day (because MAR 10, when you smoosh it together, spells out "MARIO"), and while I don't do a song for that every year, I found one to do for this year. I opted to go for the song for Delfino Plaza, which plays a major role in the game Super Mario Sunshine. In the game, Bowser's son, Bowser, Jr. disguises himself as Mario (defined as Shadow Mario), and gets the real Mario framed for polluting the island with graffiti, which has scared away all the Shine Sprites, which bring peace and power to the island. This was all based on a claim Bowser made that Princess Peach is the mother of Bowser, Jr., and after the final defeat, Bowser is forced to admit he lied to his son about that. Essential to the game is Mario's new tool, F.L.U.D.D. (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device), a fancy water cannon.

My arrangement of the song is for two classical guitars (playing an octave apart), acoustic guitar, accordion, and acoustic bass.
