After a while, Lava and I decided to walk over to the eggs and see if the mother finally showed up. She was there, but instead of trying to distract us, she just ran off. I was only able to get this picture while we were driving by her later on in the evening. She was afraid of us, but not of the car. Her nest is less than two feet from the road so I think she's pretty use to them by now.
