Karl was born on July 1st, 1998. He was initially born in Vienna, Austria but his family would migrate to Berlin, Germany during his high school years. In that time, he became Pen pals with Matilda Hübner (who was attending school in the United States at the time). It was these back and forth conversations that would eventually lead to them getting Discord accounts and then consider the idea of creating a band, and thus the Backyard Dogz was born.
