There will probably be an PS: Adam Wan 24 before I'm done, this guy is my hero. This is Owen, also from the Heat 3 comic. What a cutie. :D
I hope I'm not offending anyone by posting these here, but really by studying Zaush, I'm learning so much. What I'm doing freehand is getting better and better.
Owen is definitively © Adam Wan

No offense (taken or intended), but if you're going to draw from other people's art (which really is a widely accepted method of learning) you should also balance it out with a lot of study (lighting, colour, composition, anatomy, etc.) and as much drawing from life (ie: drawing real things you're actually looking at) as you can possibly get.
I kid you not, you'll learn far more doing that AND this, as you will just learning from other's work. And if you happen to be lucky enough to live somewhere that you can find live model sessions (they're weekly at the local college here, and cost a $10 donation at most) you should drop by at least once, if not to draw, at least to observe and check stuff out - You'll learn more than you ever expected.
Either way, good luck with it, man. :)

As a matter of fact, I /do/ do most of the things you just mentioned! :D
However, most of the work I've been doing with those has not been post-worthy. I'm not in college yet, so live model sessions are harder to find, and I can't afford a proper anatomy book right now, so I'm making do with diagrams and such from the internet.
Thanks so much for your comments though. Not many people take time to say things to newbies like me, and we need the critique more than the people who get the attention. Thank you again!
