I've enjoyed putzing around in No Man's Sky on and off since i started it a couple years ago. All the hidden lore is neat(and explains why it feels so soft sci-fi), base-building can be a bit engrossing at times, and despite the limited customization you can still easily get some good themes going.
This is an idea I'd had bouncing around for a while - Swiftwind(or Mistral, more likely, given this is an AU) popping into the worlds of Atlas as a Traveller. Is shi first? Is shi last? Either way, given the wide variety of Traveller types, no reason we can't have taurs too!

if it's been more than a couple months, you've got a LOT of new stuff to check out. there's a new type of star system(with new planet types), but you have to have done all the previous main quest stuff, including the Autophage stuff, to unlock it. There's also an expedition right now that makes use of those systems if you want to check them out first yourself.
