from Sept '24, I thought it would be fun to document this one step by step so I could track the new color-before-ink process. the problem with this technique is, if you're a messy sketcher (like me) the marker nibs can pick up graphite, particularly light colors. putting down a layer of clear blender first can help with this, or you could just, yknow, clean up your sketch like a civilized person (not like me). I do think this was better before I got impatient and went over it with black outline, but that's what toodling around in a sketchbook is for! thats how we learn!!
