Another Character Inspiration meme, this time of Aaron. In addition to being my sona, he's also got a lot of inspirations from other characters, including (but not limited to):
Crash Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot): Spacey and hyperactive with a short attention span. Frequently gets up to cartoonish shenanigans. A lot of his moves and abilities revolve around Toon Physics. Impulsive, incident-prone, and often dismissed as a full-blown idiot, but is surprisingly crafty (in a rather unconventional way) and far more resourceful than he lets on. Employs a belly flop and quite a few spinning techniques in his fighting style. Very skilled with a yo-yo.
Po (Kung Fu Panda): A big kid at heart. Usually easygoing, playful, and oblivious, but has a strong sense of justice and can take things seriously when needed. Tends to think more outside the box compared to others and find creative, unorthodox solutions to problems if need be. Struggles to open up to others about his own problems.
Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles): Fun-loving and artistic, but undisciplined and unfocused. Tends to be immature and fools around a lot. Known for his quick wit and wisecracks. Highly acrobatic fighting style (rarely sits still and is often jumping around during fights). Uses his twin yo-yos much like how Mikey uses his twin nunchucks and, in particular, his kusarigama (TMNT 2012).
Rayman (Rayman): A bit childish at times and generally doesn’t take himself too seriously. Many of the ways Aaron uses his yo-yos in combat—long-ranged melee attacks, grappling hooks, gliding, etc.—are directly inspired by a lot of Rayman’s moves and abilities.
Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog): A free spirit with a snarky attitude and quick wit. Usually carefree and jovial, but can be impatient, impulsive, and hot-tempered at times. Much more insightful than he lets on and can notice things that others overlook. Very determined and never gives up. Uses breakdancing in his fighting style like how Sonic does in Sonic Battle.
Shaggy Rogers & Scooby-Doo (Scooby-Doo): Possesses a big appetite and likes to eat a lot. Goofy, easygoing, and fun-loving by default, but still fiercely loyal, heroic, and surprisingly competent when the chips are down. Frequently uses Toon Force to his advantage. Likes to use disguises to fool his enemies. Excellent at vocal impressions and can throw his voice to fool his enemies, much like how Shaggy did in the original series.
