Avatar is definitely a unique creation, inspired by anime to tell an epic serialized adventure with a love of various Asian cultures. The main characters have great dynamic and their own character arcs to go through, and the world is rich in culture and lore. It manages to be fun while having serious topics woven within naturally. It's been a long time since I've seen it, so I don't remember as much of it as I'd like to, but I know the strong writing was very inspiring for me.
