When you consider how many early civilizations lived by the coast, it becomes significantly less of a surprise that Maritime Craft is easily one of the most diverse field of transport that has been explored. Be it to venture out for a daily harvest of fish, to traverse rivers and Rapids alike, or simply to cross the gaps of one island to another, each civilization can be almost told apart from one another simply by finding the boats they used on such journeys.

Solar Ships of Ancient Egypt to carry Ritual and Purpose, Triremes of Ancient Greece's many Civil Wars, Longboats of Viking Raiders and Traders alike, their purposes can be as distinct as the people who crafted them and the resources that bind their hulls together. Such is the case of the many forms of Bark Canoes made from trees Endemic to the lands of Australia... They may not have the long term life of larger craft, but for the Aboriginal Australian tribes, it was certainly enough for the tasks of such a beautiful yet ruthless land.

Nowadays, such craft are a rare sight and are often forgone for more reliable designs, but that doesn't mean that folks like a certain Adorable Australian Drake can't take one out onto the many crystal clear waters of his homeland.
