Mean green on the left is a canonical Medarusa class annihilator dreadnought with my custom mixed modern with classical on the right.
Creative differences between Leiji and Yoshinobu probably played a big part in classic Yamato's Medarusa being not as overly powered as in Yamato 2202. The layout of her conventional weapons, the dome turrets, and a single large limited traverse heavy beam turret behind them all isn't that effective compared to a more conventional looking armored turret with a silly amount of barrels poking out the front as in ICF - Tiger Shark to the right.
Another difference between classic and modern is the fact that Medarusa shares a encapsulated super weapon within the hull similar to hero ship Yamato. My Tiger takes cues to design from 2202 with a retracting and armoed super gun that as with 2202 sources, can eject the entire assembly similarly to how Star Trek ships can dump their core in emergencies to prevent catastrophic total ship loss from detonation.
Another design cue taken from 2202 is the inclusion of a basic hangar with 8 StarCats, four per bay to serve as Tiger Shark's recon eyes and additional offensieve/defensive power as needed which canonical classic Medarusa lacks.
The finishing touch to my Shark is the inclusion of TWO ABSOLUTE UNITS of balls... ahem ball-turrets... covering her ventral portions from attack in conjunction with better bamboo hat style of multi-turrets covering the flanks.
So then as with my Maple Story themed mayhem, this is my Yamato Mayhem where Classic meets Modern. xD
Been meaning to make this conversion for the longest of time, but life being life, never gave me much of a chance to, until now.
