OK?
If you look at the picture it would make sense, but yeah I can probably see where you're coimng from with that, but no it wasen't my intent to make it sound at all suggestive. The Chip's Are Down I thought was one of the best written episodes of the show peroid, it deals with addiction, without having to instroduce any sort of drug peroid.

I know, but many people see the episode "The Chips Are Down" as an episode that deals with a G-rated take on a drug addiction (particularly looking at Bert's sullen state when he's eating a bowl of chips in place of cereal). It was more of an observation I was making than anything.
I see. Well I thought it was very well done, though other cartoons that dealt with drugs did introduce some kind of imagenery drug in he form of a pill or in liquid form and shows the dangers of that. The strongest anti-drug cartoon I've seen has got to be 'The Price', from Filmation's Bravestarr.
Yeah, that's a good point. They didn't go the same route as C.O.P.S. did with that crystalline badge drug or even (argubaly) what they did later with Lisa's brief foray into smoking. I have to admit, I like how the message was a lot more subtle and employed with something that would likely have gotten kids "addicted" in a sense like contests and crap. (Probably not much these days, but still, a good episode and all.)
Hmmm. I've heard of Bravestarrfrom old Just for Kids VHS adverts and again recently with my review of Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa (since they shared the lead VA). Never had any particular interest in seeing it, but I'll take your word for it.

Filmation would usually take a safer road, but with Bravestarr they actually went above and beyond with some things. There was an episode where an eldery man dies, while his grandchild was born and another where Bravestarr was after a murderer, who used to be his idol. But the one with the teenager who died of a drugs overdose and Bravestarr deliverying the anti-drugs messege from a graveyard just shows you how powerfull that episode was.
Maybe both. It'd be interesting to see what other kinds of crazy adventures Bert and Rufus get into. Or the crazy mindf*ck that might come with Bert and Rufus finding themselves still pushing the Peanut Butter Crate even though they're doing [insert other activity here].
Pardon me, I think that was a failed INCEPTION joke.
