The Banniharians have successfully overcome the Wurm threat thanks to some keen negotiation/manipulation on the part of Lord Raes, Iskiy, and Roarg.
Everyone (contributing and non-contributing readers) may vote for the character who gets 2.3 as a focus.
Contributing readers can have their character spend 1 Willpower to get a Presence + Wits roll (diff = 20+). For every pt beyond 20 their character gets +1 vote toward being the focus of the next post. A maximum of 1 Willpower may be spent this way.
At this point, a Contributing Character may also spend a Willpower point to influence the direction part three of chapter 2 takes. If a Contributing Reader would like to further build a character relationship that is in the process of developing or provide a motive or direction for their character, they may spend a Willpower point toward this goal as well. Only 1 Willpower may be spent at this time, but a contributing reader may spend 1 Willpower for focus and for providing direction if they wish.

That went better than I expected *chuckle*.
I'd like to use my vote to put forward Kayte as the focus of 2.3, am I allowed to vote for an NPC?
If so, I'd like to spend a willpower point to influence the direction and further explore the love interests she hinted at earlier in the chapter during her conversation with Raes.

I think Bannihar ought to be Team Awesome, because they are AWESOME. Pretty sound logic, no?
The timing on various announcements this chapter (Mostly made by Iskiy in regards to the Wurms) was amusing, bordering on corny. I enjoyed it.
As for your votes, fair Oni... do you really want to press FoodFood to reveal an interesting situation (The love triangle) before it is fully developed? I'm not saying that I'm not also interested (Because I am)... I just always second-guess myself about these things. You never know what juicy details and akward and/or amusing situations may be had if we press the issue!
Anyway... I LIKE Kayte... but I don't think she did much this chapter (So far) to earn the focus. I'm going to (Once and only once*) vote for Iskiy to be the focus, AND I'm going to spend the willpower in a foolish bit of self-indulgence: I'd like my Wits + Personality roll, please. Especially since I don't see "Personality" as a valid character trait. Therefore, I arbitrarily decree that Iskiy has a 20 in it.
Barring my bit of arbitrary stat declaration... I'm going to assume that you meant "Wits + Presence", in which case I have a d20 roll to add to my existing 13 points. That means I only need a 7 on the roll to break even with no net result (Except the loss of the Willpower point), and I stand to have a greater chance of GAINING several points in my favor. Woo!
Also - if I win, then I'm sure Oni shall have no problem getting Kayte lofted up to the focus next time. I shall not contest this if it comes to pass.

I keeeeeeell you! *chuckle* Oh well, it looks like I might get out-voted this time.
I was wanting to push her for focus because she didn't get much attention in this chapter and the other characters got their moment of glory. Elias got some pretty good screen time in the last chapter so I didn't want to push him forward now (and I've already got another 6000ish word short story for him ready to drop at the end of the arc, Iskiy has a brief cameo in it). Aside from that, I'm always looking for fun things to draw and she's the only female character in any of the storylines that's shown any real romantic interest (I've already drawn suggestive pics with a couple of the M/M possibilities but won't post them unless the story goes that way).
My votes are already down but I won't be trying to bribe or otherwise rally support on this, so good luck.
PS. I second the motion to officially change the name of the Bannihar caravan to TEAM AWESOME!
