Paul must learn the hard way that there are some people that you cannot save off the streets...of course i would'nt say that bout Shelby.

Every night when the club closes, Paul tries to stop Shelby from going back to Raymond, her pimp. The problem with Shelby is that like most prostitutes...falling in love was never an option and that falling so low would mean that she would never feel pure. She feels that she is not good enough to be Paul's lover as long as she continues to hussle the streets.

But its the connection they both have to music that changes that.
