By pulling my favorite trick of ..... very lamely tracing over official Sega art pieces, and giving it my own touch.... I have once again worked my modder-style magic and recreated the Sonic art stye within my own low-quality programs. I'd say this turned out wonderful, and I'm very tempted to make an NSFW alt version or two!

Today I wanted to draw my fursona as the Sonic Unleashed werehog design, for MANY reasons.
#1 because the Werehog has been among my biggest furry crushes amidst my Sonic resurgence that I've been going through lately.
#2 because "werewolf" is the mythology I relate to the most, as an insomniac furry with a violent sense of humor and an insatiable red meat addiction
But #3, to PURELY ****ING SPITE my pals over at the FatFurs Discord Server, who's moderators are so butthurt about "furry art of minors" that they are dead-set of cancelling Sonic related kink art. - who I PRIMARILY BLAME WITH A BURNING RAGE for the fact that I spent SO MANY YEARS AS A FURRY too afraid to get into Sonic again. Since, FOR MULTIPLE YEARS, this small community gave me the impression that the entire fandom had cancelled the ✨💖🌈SCENE ERA FURRY ART PERFECTION🌈💖✨ that is classic Sonic inflation/vore/WG and the likes. (Which is false. Furaffinity and other sites still celebrate this art form as the glory it is)
(^ And for this reason I am unironically adding this art piece to my "horror" folder, because I'm sure a few people I know would be terrified of seeing this. BoOoOo, classic furry art style that's short and stubby but nothing like any biological life form to ever exist and couldn't possibly be a real human minor no matter how you slice it but for some reason you can't tell the difference between fiction and reality, BoOoO SCARY!)
Lately, as I've been getting back into working out for bulking up in size, and have grown continuously more attached to the metaphor of the werewolf? Being perfectly honest, Werehog Sonic has almost felt like a new idol to me lately. A good looking furry who's muscular, heavy-weight, and powerful - but in the beastly and weighty way that I LIVE FOR, and NOT in the fascist health-nut "muscles > fat because #hEaLtHy" way. Very similar to my love for Bowser, it feels like I've found another character who represents my love for *all* forms of mass and weight as a furry.

Man, me and Sonic Unleashed have the CRAZIEST story!!!! I remember way back in the middle of the Wii's prime, me and my (still quite young at the time) siblings were taken to Target for each of us to buy a new game. I remember to this day, I saw the cover art of Sonic Unleashed for the Wii: the key art of Sonic turning half werewolf form with an edgy design. And I remember that image giving me..... funny feelings. The same funny feelings that most normies talk about when bros discuss their first feelings for girls. But I didn't know that's what I was feeling at the time. I just sorta assumed I "thought it was awesome" in the same way I thought most monsters in animated films were. 'Awesome' like I thought the transformations scenes in Curse of the Were Rabbit were, 'awesome' like I thought the mass and size of dragons in fantasy films were depicted, or 'awesome' like I thought the size difference between Big The Cat and the rest of Team Rose was in Sonic Heroes. Haha.... yeah. Years later, I never had these "feelings for girls" that every normie talked about. But I sure as heck discovered what the word for "furry" was, and the rest is history! I didn't just see the cover art of Sonic Unleashed that one day and thought it was 'cool'...... those had to have been some dang early signs of my furry fetish! 🐺
Although, by the unfeeling wrath of the butterfly effect.... I *didn't* buy Sonic Unleashed that day!!! It was a hard choice, but the undeniable call of my wanderlust was more fascinated by the concept of Endless Ocean at the time, and I chose the sea-exploration open world game instead of 'the cool werewolf'. TO THIS DAY, I still contemplate how DIFFERENT OF A PERSON I WOULD BE, and perhaps HOW MUCH EARLIER I WOULD HAVE FOUND THE FURRY FANDOM if I'd chosen Sonic Unleashed over Endless Ocean!! But I know for a fact my childhood self WOULD'VE LOVED IT, given the fact that I already had tons of fun throwing pigs over cliffs in Windwaker and wrecking 2007-Wii-Graphics cities in the Transformers movie game.
It has only been THIS PAST YEAR, IN LATE 2024 AND INTO 2025, that I've now finally begun playing Sonic Unleashed on the 4K-enhanced Xbox One version. Which I was only set on the path to discovering once I realized my furry Discord server was run by some fiction-phobic sissies, once I branched out in my search terms here on FA, and once I discovered just how perfectly furry the whole Sonic series is.
... WOW. Crazy how life works.
