Nemphyss Reference Sheet
FINALLY. After having this character for what... six years now? I have finally settled on a design and made a proper ref sheet. Sheesh, took long enough, didn't it, Nemph?
So yes, for those not in the know (in which case I wouldn't blame you 'cause I NEVER FRIGGIN' DRAW HER) this is my mainfursona persona ME AS A MONSTER.
Major recent changes include wilder, messier dreads, lack of breasts (she tends to slink around low to the ground, they'd just get in the way), and an over-all simpler design. I know some people won't like it, or think she's "boring" or something now, but... this is how I want her, and although stripey claws/fingers are "cool", they ultimately made for a unnecessarily cluttered design.
Things of note:
- She doesn't wear much, but if she is adorned with anything it should be jewelry similar to accessories shown in the bottom right of the sheet.
- Although she is technically female, I ask that she's not drawn "anatomically correct" if you know what I mean. Also, she's not sexual in the least, so please don't draw her acting in such a way (and yes I know I've drawn her all o murr~ in the past but... DIFFERENT TIMES, YO)

And aw, that's actually really awesome to hear ;w; I mean, I'm naturally drawn to monster-y things myself, but if someone who's not really into that sort of thing likes her, I HAVE DONE MY JOB RIGHT. OR SOMETHING. But thank ya :3

Btw, I really appreciate the simplification of Nemph. It seems so natural, if that makes any sense. And your ref sheet skills are so ace. Ref sheets are so hard for me and I've scrapped so many, but now I'm inspired me to at least attempt a ref of one of my simpler characters :P

Ooh I see that her teeth go back now? :0 and pfff I still havent made any proper ref sheet of my character, so I definitely know how the "oh god why am I/did I take so damn long ffff". XD
Still love her design regardless, though, I'm gonna miss those shoulder swirls. They made me think of Hostess cupcakes.. :v ...although, I'm not even sure why. ;_;

IT FEELS REALLY SATISFYING TO DO, SERIOUSLY. I thought I might feel "trapped" or something, but really it just made me run a fine-toothed comb over the design, which felt really good to finally do.
I kinda miss the shoulder swirlies, too (in fact I almost got them tattooed at one point!), but in the end it made her design too top-heavy. M-maybe she can paint them on for special occasions or something? |D

This is one of your cutest characters (I want Mulch to be mai waifu even though Renard has that privilege XD) to me, personally. I love her design, it's extremely charming and macabre at the same time<3 Not to mention she represents you well, and it's nice that you like for her to have pudge since it looks mighty good on females XD

Your art has gotten so much better in three years, it's ridiculous. Then again...so has mine; I suppose this kind of improvement over a few years is ratehr natural. XD)

Woah, I really like Nemph's new look. She isn't boring at all (unless "boring" means "contains less than fifty colors")! Then again my 'sona is just a plain gray cat so /SHRUG YO
Anyway, I really like her look. Clean and simple, but definitely interesting. A lot of her personality shows through in the way you drew her, too!

I've always really loved your character, and seeing the changes she's gone through in the past years is awesome. I love all her jewelry and stuff! And her claws are so amazing, haha, I really love the way you draw them! And those teeeeeth! <3 It also makes me realize I've been watching your art for awhile longer than I thought! x3
That is such a cool design! Purple and orange is a great color scheme. The different patterns on the back are really neat with the stripes being worked in really well without being overdone. My favorite part is the very feral aggressive portait on the right. Love all the teeth and just the overall expression, reminds me of a raptor!

I agree with the whole simplifying-the-claw-design point. Nothin' wrong with a simple, clean design :)
But yeah, lookin' gorgeous there Skugg, although this picture is making me miss you, and by extension missing Pho D: (it seems Renard and I do pho less when you're not around, and I don't think I ever go when you're both away hahaha)
