Matt and a Khopeshian recruit(worldbuilding story)
Post description:
Mattguy17 is a user on twitter who was one of my first followers. His character/persona is a space explorer. I figured I'd draw his persona because I thought it was neat! I also drew one of my characters in the same gear getup but less fancy to indicate their lower rank. Also I figured I'd give a little story/lore or whatever for her planet's origins... Her planet could be considered as the same alien planet from my other post "A beginning of a new life(story)"

In this scenario Matt is teasing one of the new recruits from a recently integrated alien species. She's rather prickly, but she means well. She's just not used to her new job and human society. She's also embarrassed that her new boss took her home so that he could see her "family" and the rest of the Khopesh system. Her family is really just her tribe. Matt is just having fun exploring and seeing new things.
Story/lore:
The society she hails from is rather undeveloped having only entered the bronze age until humans crash landed on her planet. Once the humans discovered her planet and the intelligent life forms that inhabit it, they began to integrate them into their society.
Not all of her planet is being forcefully gripped to the present however. Her planet was -in terms of earth biologists and climate scientists- "dying" when the humans arrived. It had actually just been in an extremely long "Hot age" as opposed to an earth like Ice-age. This hot-age killed a large portion of the planets animals and plants which in terms also affected the Khopeshians. Now that their world is primarily desert, and the fact that they do not reside at the top of the food chain, they're a mere fragment in population to what they once were. It is said by estimates that there are only be about 2,300 adult Khopeshian people alive scattered across the planet.
Because of their low population numbers they have been declared an endangered species and their planet -unlike other newly discovered habitable planets- has earned "nature preserve" status. Humans are only allowed to visit the planet at -and in the few kilometers around- the supply station where there is a small temporary rotating population of humans who live on the planet's surface as a means to facilitate the preservation of the Khopeshian people, and to allow them to socialize. The humans are NOT allowed to mingle in Khopeshian society. If the two species wish to have working relationships or to become friends with one another, the Khopeshians must be the one's to make that step so that it is not seen as a forceful colonization.
With this, it is also noted that some Khopeshian individuals have volunteered(upon-request) to work in human society for a small fraction of their life-span so that they may gather information on humans and the other humanoid species which makes it up. The Khopeshian volunteers who live in human society must return home after their contract is up. With Khopeshians who return to their planet after spending years in a space-age society it is noted that they may have trouble re-integrating on their planet. And so, all the Khopeshians who volunteer AND are contracted must be registered in the breeding program if they have not found a mate within 2 years of returning home.
It should be known that Khopeshians have an exceedingly long life-span with the local records of the oldest Khopeshian male reaching the age of 739 Years old before being eaten by an Ahshpicar. The authenticity of such records is questionable. However, there have been no recorded events of death witnessed by human society which were due to age. The oldest "known" individual is Tari'Azc who claims that she is 274. Her tribe also claims that this is correct. Although, for something so old in terms of human measurement, it seems that she is still in her early to mid-life as she is still considered youthful and to be of breeding age...
More posts later... probably... People seemed to like the other one, so I may do something along those lines, this was mostly just because I had an image and I decided to write something because I'm procrastinating doing my actual homework.
Also I apologize for any spelling inconsistencies or grammatical errors. I didn't run this one through a checker before posting. I just kinda typed until I felt I needed to stop and actually do my homework. Please comment if you want to see more of this!
