Piano Solo: Duel Theme (UK Version)
Having done the theme to the US version of the television game show "Duel," I decided to take a stab at the UK version's theme as well, except this one I've done as a piano solo. (I arranged the US theme for a saxophone quartet.)
The UK version has a notable rule where if neither player covers the correct answer, they are eliminated. Here in the USA, every duel had to have a winner, so this situation would lead to a sudden death shootout. In the shootout, the players received four chips (with no monetary value), and no presses were allowed. The player that used the fewest amount of chips to cover the correct answer wins; if nobody covered the correct answer, the question was discarded and replaced with a new one (and left unaired in the final broadcast).
