So, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that I put little faith in the Divine Beasts that supposedly look over my world. Some worship them as gods, others fear them as calamities. But to me, they're just five more tyrants that need to be toppled. Such a task is far beyond my capabilities, of course. Tough and experienced I may be, but one sword is not enough to cut down the divine.
It is, however, enough to cut down the avatars they leave in their wake. I'm sure whatever high priest or godspeaker dwells nearby will come up with some excuse for this beast, claiming the Divine Serpent sent it as an omen, or a warning, or a test. But as far as I'm concerned, it was just another wild monster posing a threat to travellers on the road - not to mention whatever settlement it might have ended up at - so it had to go.

Religion is as good as a set of guidelines but not a blind following or worshipping of whatever entity the one creates to fill the emptiness of soul or justify his inability to change the world with word of "fate"
Exodus 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below."
Not living being or sentient soul needs to bow like a slave to anyone.
So such action done by our favorite fighter-dragon, Arix can be considered as liberation and purge of heresy
People shall rely on their own much more often abd believe in thyself rather than believe that good will come to them itself. Good is built upon the deeds and through actions of people that want it to come truly.
