The Lawyer - Traffic Light Ghost
This character has been sitting around my head for a while, and I finally got the color scheme just right. Where Demion is a warm hue, daddy punk vibe, and Grunder is Black and White and red all over, this character plays with the blues. Does not have a name yet, but Terry has come to mind a few times. However, simply the lawyer will suffice.

Somewhere in one of the Grunder pictures, I did my best to explain what a poltergeist compared to a regular ghost but I'll explain again: Ghosts are normal souls that lived and died, and will spend eternity aware of their past and memories. Poltergeists are fusions of a human soul and a demon made upon death. Usually there's a deal attached to it, and the demon you agreed to fuse will bestow you with their powers. Because this happens the moment of death, you have no idea what type of demon you agreed to make a deal with, but the demon basically becomes YOU. The benefit is ALL for the demon, who gets immortality, while your soul is tainted, making it more difficult to remember your previous life, and damned to suffer. Good news will be is that now you have demonic powers in order to defend yourself while your new eternity is spent in hell.
For the lawyer, this is what they remember of their mortal life: they were mostly familiar with the 1990s, they were completely hooked to the lawyer culture and life style. At some point they had built themselves up in their firm and would do anything to keep it going strong. They'll never admit to the range of the crimes and sleezy tactics that they participated in while they were alive, but will brag about getting out of contracts if someone didn't sign their name perfectly. They only remember that they died in front of the offices in Philadelphia after jay walking in front of oncoming traffic.
Since their death, they haunted the intersection, causing traffic violations by messing with the traffic lights. It was right in front of the main office they worked for, and if they could continue to help the company grow. Small fender benders and red light tickets were the goal, and even at one point got someone to sue the city for supposed faulty traffic lights. Even after the city replaced the lights, and even replaced the wires, nothing could stop the lawyer... except the death of
another human. Make that 4 other humans over the span of 10 years. Eventually the lights were replaced with a 4 way stop sign and they were forced out of hiding from The Reapers, dragged kicking and screaming into hell.
Being referred to "Lawyer" rather than having a name, is likely due to how mechanical the position in Hell is. There's a million of them and making sure there isn't a means for a mortal to weasel out of a contract is what you have to be good at. The truly Hellish part of this job, is when you've finished writing up a solid contract between to rival demons, they ended up killing each other before either of them payed out. Juggling meaningless arguments as "Demon X will never again steal the gaze of Demon Y unless it's a full moon after a 6 month period... Yadda yadda yadda, and so forth." You have a stack of never ending paperwork that will drown you before too long, getting those rare vaction trips to earth is rewarding.
Such as bragging that you can turn off and on lights. Grunder lived during a time when light bulbs were being normalized, and electricity isn't impressive in itself. He's more impressed at a fellow poltergeist that can play with electronics so easily. Demion has been using Terry for a while now, and will often call on them or bring them along into earth shenanigans but Terry can't comprehend a world without tech, and often has opinions that Demion will not put up with. If there's something Grunder likes about this fella, it might have something to do with the human life that the lawyer had forgotten about. Something about familiar vices and relationships. Why would this Lawyer care so much about ONE law firm over any other? Hard to recall now.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
