Tired, you fall into bed after a hard day and instantly switch off.
...To open your eyes a moment later and find yourself in a space beyond the edge of reality. Again?.. Again. You don't even have time to mumble to yourself, as your thoughts suddenly become viscous and heavy, falling into the depths of your consciousness like stones. You can no longer think clearly. And then you notice a beast looking at you from the darkness.
Catching your gaze, the beast ruffles, and the feathers on his head rise up in a colorful aureole. Your mind becomes even more distorted. And along with the hypnotic swaying of feathers, memories begin to roll over you in waves - those distant and forgotten ones that you never hoped to experience again.
You grab your head - and wake up.
