Hello from beyond the grave! This is my submission for the 2025 express yourself contest by

This is the culmination of ~11 hrs of work over the last two weekends. I had actually charted out what I was going to write beforehand, which was prog-focused on guitar/bass/keyboard with interweaving melodies, countermelodies and unisons, with lots of time signature goodness. However once I started writing it of course ended up with this bluesy rock thing with no resemblance to what I had in mind. Maybe that'll be for another time! I got stuck at about the 40 second point and spent a lot of that time iterating there (some riffs that I can use to expand upon later?).

Wasn't sure I'd have much more time to work on a thumbnail, the mix and give it a proper title, so it'll have to come as is for now. Maybe when the competition is over I'll give it a proper name, but for now Just imagine that the piece has a super epic name that matches the music, or that the interpreting those from the music is like, part of the Express Yourself theme or something. I dunno :D
