This is the first of three 3D models I got from the Victorian Markets when I was in Melbourne. Plotron (yeah, I know, the name is crap, just roll with it) The Metasasur, one of 7 similar dino models. This was the first one I got, thinking the biggest most complex one would be the best place to start, and fuck I was wrong x.x
I'm willing to bet some old guy who used to play with those air-fix models when he was a kid would look at this and say its too simple. Oh believe me, its not. Some of the pieces don't even fit together right.
First off, the box boasts that I won't need to use scissors or glue to make this, and is BULLSHIT! Because I had to use glue twice! Once to repair one of the pieces, and again to make one fit and stay! Oh well, I guess I can't harp on it too much for two times.
Oh yeah, and the instructions are so fucking cryptic it makes Dune look simple. I'm not even kidding, all it just it tell you what pieces you need, show what they look like (With not color or anything to they're just plain white shapes) and then shows you what they look like together! It doesn't show you exactly where they go, what they they should be facing, or even give you a good view of the pieces! Everything is displayed in tiny 1x1 inch panels in black and white x.x
Anyway, this thing has 153 pieces and I'm really glad I was able to finish it. It only took me about 6 hours, but man this thing looks cool :D Its about 24 inches long (Head to tail) and looks badass :D
Now I've just got a T-Rex with rocket canons on its back, and a robot with a guass canon for an arm to make :D
Oh yeah, and just if you're wondering, these things are really fucking hard to track down online. I tried. x.x
