Okay he does have a name but I couldn't type out King Tssstzzz!!!!tssskssskzzzee in the title due to the underline on the trill sound in his name.

Well this is King Tssstzzz!!!!tssskssskzzzee, ruler of the Central Belt on his planet, the Central Belt being the equator, where there are vast deserts that reach up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer season. It's uninhabitable to most insects, but the beetle-like races that dominate the Central Belt have thrived there for millions of years (there was no prehistoric mass extinction like on our planet).

The king himself looks like a gold-plated scarab beetle with... probably some praying mantis in there BUT HE'S ACTUALLY most closely related to the cockroach. He has to be to endure the intense solar radiation due to their planet being closer to the sun than ours. He's extremely smart and a competent ruler, but he has a habit of asking random aliens he finds attractive to join his extensive harem.

His species is about 12 feet tall so their bodies can be kept above the unearthly heat the sand produces, and their feet have evolved to keep them from sinking into the soft dunes. This picture of him has none of his regal wear on, including the 40-foot-long ancestral wing case cape he adorns during public viewing hours. The entire planet's culture is infamous for being very LOUD so of course a shitload of wing cases dragging and clinking behind him would be quite befitting.

Oh my god I colored it AAAUGH it was pretty fucking hard. I had never shaded gold before so this was an interesting first, as well as an actual attempt at using a lighting source direction. Also, hey , I did this in 3 layers, u jelly?
