A flesh mimic, or a skin mimic, mysterious creature that copies the appearance of others, either by changing their bodies to poorly copy their prey, or by stalking them, then killing them and stealing their skin. They are also known to mimic the voices of their prey, along with other sounds they hear.

They are native to very few regions, but can be a great danger to villagers and especially to travellers unaware of these monsters. For villagers that live in lands where flesh mimics live in, they tend to be very skeptic and suspicious of new comers and travellers that attempt to enter their village.
Understandably afraid of any potential flesh mimics that can threaten their homes.

Even to scholars of Alden, they are unsure where they come from or what they truly look like. Many believing them to be a subspecies of mimics, while others believe they are demons.
Regardless, through the studies of scholars, they have found:
-They tend to steer clear from large populated areas such as cities. Hunting in smaller, more quieter regions.
-They are also rather strong, capable of cracking and in some cases breaking iron armour or shields.
-They seem to not understand the language they mimic, only repeating the exact voice and words said by whoever they heard, or a previous victim has said. Along with natural sounds heard in the wild.
-They don't hunt in packs, only hunting alone.
-It is unknown how they reproduce.
-When they've stolen the flesh/skin of their prey, there are clear signs they are not the person they're attempting to be. Such as eyes, mouth, teeth, misshapen limbs and sounding unnatural.
