Former warriors plunged into the seemingly bottomless pit filled with the black blood of the Serpent Deity of Darkness, father and ancestor of the Abyssal Gods! But further mutated with the aid of the Blasphemous God's masterful warlocks
Similar to their main counterparts, they are used as highly aggressive war beasts for the Abyssal Gods forces. However, these plaguebound beastly warriors are mostly used by the plaguebound Abyssal Demigods, disgraced copies of a plague afflicted Abyssal God.
Their bodies like their masters are often seen as rotten or decays, some even having exposed skulls, ribs, even their organs. Their horns and claws (also hooves if they have them) are usually a dark rotten or near blackened color, indicating their rotting condition.
Some will also mutated with additional blackened head horns or spikes where their spine is.
It is advised by high ranking soldiers/warriors and also scholars to avoid getting bit or scratched by these creatures, as they are heavily afflicted by plagues and diseases. Which they can pass onto others via bites, scratches and even projectile vomiting an acid-like bile.
Though not as aggressive and slightly slower than the normal Abyssal Beastkin, these variants are still very dangerous, due to their strength, endurance and being so riddled with contagious plagues.
And just like other types of Abyssal Beastkin, the older they get, the more deranged they become, with the plaguebound ones possibly suffering the most of their aging affects.
Such as flesh and bones becoming more frail, poisonous blood/liquid leaking from open wounds and becoming almost completely blind or having their eyes rot and fall out.
In situations where a Plaguebound Abyssal Beastkin gets too old, they are either turned into a living toxic growth to poison a specific land, or amalgamated with other plaguebound beastkin and abyssal warriors into a horrific plague spreading abomination. Though both scenarios usually require the assistance of an Abyssal warlock/mage or necromancer, the first one the beastkin is capable of doing on it's on, granted unintentionally and without even knowing.
Some scholars often question whether most of these creatures are actually undead, or are alive and constantly suffering stages of decay due to all the diseases they carry. Regardless, both they and their masters are a great danger, not only to life around them, but also likely their undiseased allies as well.
Another monstrous abomination of the Abyssal Gods' horde.
