At the age of 17, Malcolm Granger is one of the oldest members of the travel group. This student attends the 4th grade at Kilima boarding school and is seen as a ruffian. And it's true: Malcolm doesn't mince his words and has enormous self-confidence. His bluntness makes him a loner, but he attracts trouble almost magnetically. Underneath his rough exterior, however, he has a soft core. As an anthropomorphic golden eagle, Malcolm is able to fly and uses the power of the wind element with brutal, ruthless violence. Malcolm has a half-sister with whom he goes to the same class at school. Like his parents, he and his half-sister are at odds. Malcolm is often mocked and provoked by Lindsay Mac Cullen, another member of the travel group. However, his eloquence always gives him an edge.
