As one can see Chaos is angry. He has finally come to accept that he is a gargoyle, and that his growing feelings, and attraction, for Gadget are genuine. As he starts to allow his gargoyle, and human natures merge into, a piece of him lashes out.

The 'bad mind' sees his acceptance of being a gargoyle as a step in forgetting his humanity. Plus it blames Gadget, and the rest of clan that took him as well. It wishes to destroy them, and Chaos.

After figuring this out, Chaos is pissed. Typically he's level headed, but at the moment, one can understand why he isn't as he prepares to deal with his inner demons. He is not about to let his happiness, the prospect of love, and desire to be his true self to be ripped away...
