One of the cool things about going to conventions is just going to the Dealer's Den and seeing all the furry merch out on display. Cool shirts and keychains, stickers, badges, toys, figurines, dakimakura... we really are an ecosystem all unto ourselves! X3
This awesome little number is by an artist in the Alley called Duskie. Having started off in traditional media, I have a huge respect for anyone that can break out the markers and colored pencils, from time to time! The Major Arcana has always been a really fun theme to tackle, so the Tarot card badges Duskie was offering instantly resonated with me!
I picked Number 00, The Fool. You might think this card has negative interpretations, but it's a bit of a mixed bag. Essentially, it represents a lackadaisical approach to life - the ability to take big swings, and sometimes fall off a cliff edge. The funny thing is that the Fool is rarely perturbed when his luck goes sour - he either picks himself back up or else keeps on laughing and singing.
It's a really beautiful, zen kind of resilience that I think I resonate with! I've described myself as lucky, in the past, but it works differently for hares than it does for rabbits. Rabbits find a lottery ticket and win a small jackpot. Hares trip over their own feet and dodge a bullet. Sometimes luck is just the moment when preparation meets opportunity. Other times, it's seeing the connections and going with your intuition. Whatever the case, I feel like it only works when you don't look directly at it.
Maybe luck is just being able to go with the flow? I dunno, yo! X3
