Trifles are such tantilizing and tasty dishes they're a winner around my place and I must admit its a delightful idea to make personalized ones in large wine glasses. Something to enjoy from the kitchens of

Recently I saw
thejeweledhorn had posted up a simple Trifle (Here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4982814/) and I think that must of been hanging on my mind when I made this... not to mention I was trying to figure out a desert that was a little lower in processed sugars and carbs as I've learned my father is borderline diabetic now, so trying to make healthier deserts... though what is a special occasion without a little desert?
This was made using a Sugarfree cheesecake pudding mix in here, along with layers of pineapple and fresh blueberries, some lite cool whip on top, and a little bit of cake.
The cake itself was a yellow box mix (done by Jiffy around here) that I added a tablespoon of orange extract too and subbed out a little of the water for lemon juice to give a very citrus flavor to the cake. Not exactly low carb or sugar in that I admit but just got to have a little cake, right? Maybe?
Anyway, onto building the trifle...
A trifle is a layered dish, usually a desert, and most often displayed in a glass dish so one can see the layers. They are usually composed of some sort of cake, some sort of pudding or softer item layer, and then sometimes something more firm (Like fruit.)
While I didn't want to make a large trifle I did break out three wine goblets for the three of us and made the trifle in them so that we each got our own desert.
Layers went like this...
Cake, Pineapple, Pudding, Blueberries, Cake, Pineapple, Pudding, Whipped Topping, and garnish.
Make as you like and switch out favorite fruits. Kiwi and strawberry work great together with a chocolate cake and pudding in there.
A great summer desert.
Love how the camera caught the little bit of condensation on the glass in this too, pretty pic that I'm happy with.
