actually... reached until chapter 5 or 6... no effect on me.. so i skipped a few more chapters... pinkie isnt really in the fic, she's.. well.. not there.. D: but i love her daughetr tho.. XP.. D: gotta admit.. the first chaps. gave me an idea of how to take care of some fillies (hint hint: library scene with the raiders *0*)... XDDD..
Oh there ARE scenes with pinkie in it, they tend to be memory orbs. These are flashback devices that allow you to relive scenes of someones life through their eyes. you SHOULD read a couple of the pinkie stuff, they are good.
Basically when war broke out, the mane 6 each got their own government ministry to do anything they pleased with to aid the war effort. Pinkie pie made the Ministry of Morale! To try and put smiles on peoples faces in these dire times. But eventually her constant parties and stress took its toll on her, and she became a drug addict and junkie. Her ministry became a nazi like gestapo. Posters of pinkie pie donned every wall, billboard and even pink balloons in the sky spouting phrases like "Pinkie Pie is watching you: FOREVER." The little robots that float around playing music were secretly spying on every citizen. Her ministry had a firm hoof in controlling the media in all forms. The MoM police took away zebra sympathizers and any who voice anti-government sentiment for reprogramming, imprisonment or memory alteration. The strain broke off her friendship with Twilight, who declared pinkie a horrible pony and walked out of her party, saying 'when the pinkie I know and love is ready to come back, call me. Till then, never speak to me again.'

Just read THOSE two scenes if you really REALLY wanna get a feel for pinkie in the war. One is an audio recording Pinkie made, the other a memory orb from her perspective. Trust me, those two scenes are worth it.
