Indeed I think it is a bit unknown- It was a tremendous success on Xbox Live Arcade, but indie games as a whole were overlooked back then including really big ones like Fez and Braid.
Dean's tremendous achievement with little outside help may have just looked like a mid budget production to most outsiders, if they even knew what "indie" meant! I'm glad independent developers have so many more tools and platforms on which to publish- All told, the story of this game seemed like a huge uphill struggle.
