This is my 1972 Dodge Charger. I bought it about a year and a half ago. It has a 383 Magnum from a '69 Charger and the original 727 transmission, which I need to rebuild soon, due to some minor slippage. Goes from 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds. :D
It's not done yet. The left fender has a dent I gotta knock out and I'm going to repaint it triple-coat in the original petty blue when everything else is done on it. Then I'll paint a better looking 02 on the side and put the stars and bars on the roof.

hey, that car can outperform the police chargers XD i like how the 66-70 chargers look better though. i almost had a '69, but the guy we were buying it from sold it when we were on the way to pay him. pissed me off so bad. anyways, I saw this car on the way back and decided to get it instead
69 Dodge charger.. is total bad ASS!... if i had one i would make that bitch into a hotrod and Blow the doors off any fuckn car around.. . Buuttt.... i want to get a Ford GT Concept 2002.. with a V12 in it... those bastards do 210mph. and 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds.
Not to sound like an ass to you, because I'm not trying to be. But the Ford GT is no longer a concept since it was made for a few years then production stopped. And it has a 4.6L v8 that was taken from their pickups and drastically modified as a sport engine.
Watch the episode of Top Gear in which they test drive one and you'll hear the specs. But yes, it is rated for 210mph.

But ofcorse not. It only droped in 2002. The standard GT was a better modle over concept. Because the older class was more dependant for speed..anymore detailed I will not get because I aint studied the specs in a long time and no I do not have cable or anything..just standard tv with one chanel.
You can go on to YouTube and check because people post episodes of Top Gear on there. You just have to search for the one relating to the Ford GT. But, as for specs I found a rating chart and I believe the HP was rated for 550HP, and its actualy speed rating was 205mph, and I was corrected on engine size. It's a 5.4L. But if you're interested take a look at it. http://www.fordgt.net/gt_specifications.html
i love the 66-70 chargers though dodge,s are my fave a friend of mine had a ford galaxie ex police car had the 400 interceptor in it i got to drive it on the highway got it up to 150mph and only had the pedal half way down i think i could,ve got it to 200mph but my buddy said no lol
i was dissapointed when he sold it to the wrecking yard could have gotten it for $200 but seems i allways miss the good deals he sold his 66 charger for $250 to the wrecking yard and my mother knew someone with a 1959 desoto with a hemi it got sold for $250 but she didn,t tell me it was for sale till it was gone
;_; 66 charger to the wrecking yard? well don't that just break my little ol heart :< one of the guys in our neighborhood restores old mopars and he used to have a hemi desoto. that thing would sure move :D right now he's got a 68 roadrunner with a 383, a 70-something datsun, and a 69 Coronet Super Bee with a 440 Magnum that are all done, plus a bunch of ones hes working on. it's fun to just sit up there and watch him work, plus he helps me with mine when i need it
well ive had over 70 differant vehicles now but the charger ive almost got my hands on twice and it always fell threw.
last one was a 69 RT with the original 383/727 combo for $500 bucks but I couldnt come up with the cash cuz I just bought a 70 chevelle.
Theres a 69 RT 440 car here thats a super rare triple white 4 speed car that an old man has sitting at his shop......im slowly trying to talk him into parting with it,but hes knows its worth alot and dosent want to part with it cheaply.
Hes a big ford guy tho so I may offer him my capri as a partial trade with some cash...my capri is one of 282 ever made so he may bite...we will have to wait and see tho.

if your ever at a wrecking yard could i ask a favour and have you check to see if you could find me some tail light lenses for a 1975 dodge pickup cerebus my 1975 dodge 3/4 ton crecab needs both sides on the back and none of the wrecking yards have them *what few wrecking yards that are still open* and if you can find me some that are cheap maybe we can work out a deal andi could do you some art in exchange for the tail light lenses :)
Ha! We were thinking about naming this one General Grant, but decided not to. Not really sure if we'll make a Grant anytime soon; I've already spent twenty grand buying the cars I have and putting a few extra goodies under General Jackson's hood. 0-60 in roughly 3.5 now and running straight headers to boot. :P
