WOTF Context (from previous chapters):
- Fluff is a world full of anthropomorphic animals called the Fluffies.
- Fluff Tech is the primary contributing technological/innovative company for anthro-based wearables or gadgets.Upon returning to the familiarities of Earth, Spots and I had appeared in a forest overlooking a fenced-off facility as the portal disappeared behind us. Wiggling my paw digits in the shifting dirt under my paw-covered feet, I was glad to be back on terra firma. The anthro cheetah whipped out her binoculars, watching every movement of the guards around the entrance of the building. âIâve calibrated our interdimensional tether point close to the coordinates Ashenâs been stuck at so that we have an escape route back to Fluff. Itâs gonna be hard with the guards thoughâŚâ
âSo, I guess itâs a rescue mission now?â I questioned with uncertainty, my wolf fursuitâs ears drooping back with my change in emotion.
âSeems so. Time to activate your shock paws! I shall activate mine too!â
Both of us clapped our paws, triggering the shocking devices. For me, it was already built into the Fluff Tech wolf fursuit I was in. In Spotsâ case, she had rubberized gloves for her paws, giving her the flexibility to shift her digits, electrocute enemies, and utilize her martial arts to take people out in close proximity. She had prepared for every emergency imaginable, and to her, my mix-up was just a small bump in her progress to improve the livelihood of the anthropomorphic society - a trailblazer in anthro technology. However, we were going to be obvious targets if we headed to the facility during the day, so we elected to break in at night for a stealthier rescue mission. It was only a couple hours wait before sky turned dark, something more manageable for the both of us.
While we waited, we forged a plan using a three-dimensional holographic map of the facility, something she had acquired by using an automatic environmental scanner on her. Spots quickly identified a blind spot at one corner of the fence, and with a miniature plasma cutter in her technological arsenal. When it was finally dark out, the anthro cheetah gave me the signal to start moving in, taking measured steps toward the blind spot. With a brief glance to check that no one was around with her sensitive ears, Spots initiated her plasma cutter and burned through the fence like a hot knife through butter.
However, her tool had caused the metallic fence to glow so brightly it alerted one of the nearby armed guards. With a heave of the cut portion of metal fence, she made way for me to deal with the guard while she placed the fence aside silently. I lunged through the glowing hole made by her plasma cutter, pressing both my paws on his chest before he could shoot me, incapacitating him completely while I did a forward roll to cushion my landing from the momentum. As for the guard, Spots dragged him away and hid his unconscious body in the bushes outside the fence boundary. It was like we were hitmen on a mission, or hitfluffs because we were both covered in fur.
After our little surprise encounter with the guard, the anthro cheetah whipped out a tracking device as I followed closely behind. From behind, I asked in a whisper, âWhere do you keep storing these gadgets?â She paused and unzipped one of the pockets of her jumpsuit to reveal a spacious void, giving me a wink and answer, âFluff Tech Storage Pocket. Although it may look like a normal pocket, it actually stores as many items as a crate can hold. I just need to key in what I need and I'll retrieve it from the pocket in an instant.â I was in awe at how much further Fluff Tech had progress beyond humans in the technological age, having a cartoonish hammerspace while people like me had to store items the boring way. âCâmon, letâs get moving. My tracker indicates that Ashen is in a chamber four floors below us.â
Spots pulled out the keycard she had retrieved from the guard, sliding it as a side access door and opening it up to a dimly-lit corridor. On either side of the wall, there were soldiers positioned strategically several feet from each other, all equipped with automatic rifles and ready to shoot any intruder at a momentâs notice - us in this case. At the other end was an elevator to where the anthro wolf was held, but they had to go through the entire group of armed soldiers first as the alarms were sounded. With a silent, acknowledging nod, we charged forward and began to shock them to unconsciousness.
Some tried to shoot me with their guns, but my wolf fursuitâs protective forcefield activated, the bullets bouncing off me as though I was bulletproof. Even without a suit around the anthro cheetah, Spots, too, was shrouded in a thin forcefield that shifted with her every graceful movement. Together, we fought and danced around the corridor like a ballroom, taking out the oncoming waves of soldiers side by side. We zapped anyone in our way with the rapid touch of our paws, seeing the number of awake soldiers dwindle before our eyes. Using a powerful discharge from her glove, she deactivated the alarm, panting with shallow breaths with me after taking out everyone guarding the elevator.
âPhew! That was a work out! There should be another kind of access card on one of them! The one from the guard has no clearance to the labs below,â she stated, casually tossing her access card away.
âFound it!â The eyes of my wolf suit quickly identified the security card of higher clearance and picked it up. I spared no time and passed it to her as we stepped past the unconscious guards to the elevator. âSo, what now?â
âNow, itâs time to finally break Ashen out!â Spots said, tapping the card at the elevator access panel and opening its doors to us. She then welcomed me inside with a giggle, âHumans in wolf fursuits first!â I blushed underneath the Fluff Tech fursuit, but my tail betrayed me, swaying vigorously as my ears drooped backward in embarrassment. âAww⌠Still as cute as the day I met you in Fluff!â
Once we had entered and descended the floors, we found a table with pen-scribbled notes and a window where we could see the anthro wolf - Ashen. But, to me, something was odd. My suit had the same likeness as the wolf we are trying to rescue, but I just shrugged it off as a coincidence. While we could see him, he could not see us, and I knew from science fiction movies that it was a one-way glass mirror. Spots went ahead to unlock him from the chamber as I read the notes.
âHuman-like wolf. Name: Ashen Silverclaw. Male. Possesses similar biological systems to humans, apart from the canine features. He can only communicate to humans via a communication collar he made. DO NOT REMOVE. Surprisingly calm for a wolf-like creature. Has intellect on par or beyond human intelligence. He is an inventor in a world of human-like animals like him called Fluff. Behaves mostly like a typical canine. Loves being stroked on the back and ear rubs. DOES NOT like squeaky toys, but his eyes would shift if there is a tennis ball in sight.â
I chuckled to myself a little, lifting my head just in time to see Spots hugging Ashen, a reunion meant to be. Upon standing face to face with the real anthro wolf himself, he tilted his head at how uncannily the wolf fursuit looked like him, asking the anthro cheetah why it was so. She blushed and said the fursuit was meant to be a prototype nanoweave fursuit, but she needed to make it more aesthetic. The first anthro she could think of was Ashen, so she made it based on his appearance and measurements. From how tense she was, I knew it was because she wanted to be with someone similar to Ashen having lost her chance in romance with him over the years.
After a brief round of introduction and the hasty retrieval of Ashenâs Fluff Tech items, the three of us headed to the surface. Once the lift took us to the ground floor, the wolfâs mouth could only gape at the mess in the wake of our rescue mission. We shrugged and sprinted our way to freedom, returning to the forest where the Fluff Interdimensional Machine could bridge to Earth. Spots pulled out another one of her gizmos and opened an interdimensional gateway back to Fluff. âSo thatâs that,â the anthro cheetah said as she stared at the pulsating portal. âWeâll be going back to Fluff, but you can keep the Fluff Tech fursuit. It fits you so well! Iâm really gonna miss y-â
Before she could finish, I hugged her tearfully, reluctant to leave her side. Amid sniffles, I uttered my true feelings to leave my old life behind, âI-I donât want to be here anymore! I want to return to Fluff to be with all the others like you two!â The two anthros provided themselves with some time to discuss among themselves. They eventually agreed to allowed me to go through the gateway with them, holding back one last surprise that was waiting for me on the other end.
Since I was a already pseudo wolf Fluffy among them, Ashen had plans to transform me into a real anthropomorphic wolf without causing me too much pain during the process. He and the Spots had been experimenting with species change modifications and had succeeded previously. In my wolf fursuit, the two led me to a cylindrical chamber. While Ashen took care of the multiple switches, Spots observed to ensure everything went accordingly. In the chamber, I stood still as instructed as cool gas was pumped into the chamber. Everything was tingling for a moment before a warm beam swept up and down my body.
A few minutes had passed as I stood in a small, foggy space and eventually, it was open for me to step out. I took the first few steps in my new wolf body and found it easy to walk around because I was used to the fursuitâs digitigrade configuration. I was given a new set of clothes to cover up my anthro body and my tail would uncontrollably wag in delight, much to Ashen and Spotsâ entertainment. And since I knew how many of Fluff Techs gadgets work, I eventually joined Fluff Tech as one of the Fluffies to test the newer inventions they made, tech made for anthropomorphic comfort and combat equipment.
As for Spots and I, we built upon the relationship we had between us. The first question I asked when I permanently moved in with her was, âAre hybrid anthros possible on Fluff?â Lying on her bed with a lusty smile and a playful wink, she answered, âLetâs experiment and see! Youâll never know!â And together, I lived a fulfilled, romantic life with the anthro cheetah, living in bliss in the World of the Fluffy.

I wonder what it's like from the humans' perspective; a bunch of anthros raided their base and then suddenly disappeared.
From the humans' perspective, they might be annoyed or angry after the raid.
***But if I ever do make a book out of this, there would be a possibility that the humans has a piece of Fluff Tech that allows for dimensional travel and humans might invade the World of the Fluffy. (Not fully thought out yet...)
