Faebruary: I am very excited to share this monthlong project with you all! Regular viewers of this channel will know that a lot of my creative focus goes into Kroashent, my ongoing fantasy series. There's a ton of background lore for the series, so I thought it might be fun and helpful to run a little project to introduce to viewers new and old, to the characters and creatures of Kroashent, with a twist!
For the month of February (or rather "Faebruary!" I will be posting drawings of the characters of Kroashent as different creatures from Alvez, their world. To begin, these creatures will be the "Tuath", the sapient, social creatures of the world (think the playable species of D&D). (We'll address the beasties and things that go bump in the night in a future project)
Haizea Gacería: Haizea is the bartender and owner of the Ash and Hazel Tavern and boarding house in Naoned's busy Mask District, where the Forthaves live and run their heists from. An immigrant from far-off Asturias, Haizea is a hard worker, clever businesswoman and loyal ally to Kathalia and her friends.
Boudics: The Korrigan of the Farms. These domestic spirits inhabit homes and farms across the Armorican Peninsula, claiming them as their own and eagerly going about taking care of small chores and carrying out small pranks. The Boudics are helpful creatures, but live by a strict code of magically balanced debt. If insulted or thanked, they may turn malicious.

Val's Notes: Haizea, a born hostess, was a perfect choice to represent the Boudics. Haizea is from Asturias, a region inspired by the Northern Coast of Spain, and she draws heavily from Basque inspiration.
Less simple was working out the design for these diminutive sprites. Drawn from stories of brownies and similar spirits, the Boudics are a major part of Kroashent's background worldbuilding, but confine themselves, almost exclusively, to their domiciles For scale, the round think on Haizea's side is the earring she wears in human form.
