Dreamurrs, Also known as: Starbeast, Wish Dragon, etc.
They're naturally innocent creatures, born out of the hopes and dreams of humanity, it encourages and feeds upon said dreams to sustain itself. It can alter its shape to some degree, as well as have some control over people's dreams, able to make them lucid dream, or do the opposite and de-lucid their dream. They are able to shapeshift to a degree as well, able to turn into or morph their body to it what could be seen in the dreamer's dreams.
These creatures come in a variety of colors, but that largely depends on a Dreamurr's mood. They always have a cosmic night sky-like pattern for their primary colors, and a golden tertiary color
Speaking of eating dreams, dreamers don't actually eat away at dreams, its more that they take some of the energy from those little pockets of imagined realities, and eats that instead. Though not entirely wrong, their name does come from a Dreamurr manifesting the dream as a cartoonish dream bubble and nibbling on it, then laying next to who it was feeding from, typically on the floor, however, they have been known to lay in the bed with the dreamer instead. Thus, they earned the name 'Dream eater', or Dreamurr for short.
They usually don't appear before humanity except in dreams while feeding on them. They follow the night as it goes, so their migratory pattern is once around the earth per day, quite a long journey. Some have settled down to one place and overfeed during the night to have enough energy to stay awake during the day.
As long as they feed on a human's dreams, they themselves don't get tired. If they dont eat enough, they have to find somewhere safe on the ground to sleep and eat their own dreams until night comes again. If they cannot eat however, they slowly start to fade until disappearing completely, though this does not mean that they die, just re-manifesting later on because of the dreams of others
It gets interesting however when it comes to unusual dream types. Nightmares are one of said dream types. Harboring intense feelings of fear, hatred, and overall negative emotions, they taste bitter to a Dreamurr, and can make a Dreamurr more aggressive, seeking out and forcing targets to sleep with their breath. This is usually done by putting the target's head inside of its maw and blowing its breath directly into the target's lungs.
Wet dreams are a different story. Being non-sexual in nature, they usually cant comprehend the strange feelings that come with a wet dream, and instead, develop corresponding genitals to those that it eats the dream of to be able to feel horny as well. They often have exaggerated, or larger than average genitals, as dreams tend to embellish details like that.
