In the future.... nerdy skunk girls will wear stealth armor and carry guns. For some reason I got the urge to draw some tech/future style armor and I wanted it lean but look like it would actually offer some protection. I'm pretty happy with the end results here. Kept the shading basic to try and show the metal/armor
1st Lt. Bishop specializing in recon she is making a name for herself among the other soldiers. Highly agile and capable she has proven time and again that she can work her way behind enemy lines and pin point targets. Using the new 'viper armor mark II' she has entered, ID'ed and eliminated a high priority target without detection. The new viper armor offers active camo technology (offers limited invisibility), can block most detection devices within a limited range, offers protection against small arms fire and protection from the elements. One complaint about the suit was the wedgie effect of the high mesh bodysuit that forms the base layer

Nice.. your drawing is quite good, keep at it, as it is said: practice makes the Master, and you are on your way there.
I dunno if you have seen Strype's art here in FA, he draws some awesome armor (and been drawing for quite along time now) i am sure you'll like and take inspiration from. Here's a link to one of his pics, check it out:

Keep up the good work.

Hrmm... First thoughts are that I'm seeing primarily ballistic cloth with limited plate. considering that it's supporting inbuilt active camouflage, likely the base is fullerenes of some sort (carbon nanotube based material, possibly using graphene), maybe a distributed-computing smartcloth layer above that, another fullerene layer, this time designed so that it will go rigid under impacts above a certain speed, spreading the impact's force. Above this in strategic places boron nitride or some equivalent used as rigid hard plate over sensitive or critical areas. The entire thing would support active and passive cooling and heating plus provide passive breakup of the thermal signature through reconfigurable bleeds (function of the smartcloth).
