I think Faceless Void survived the ritual only because Bane blessed (yep wordplay wcyd) him or plant in to him part of himself, the Gods' nightmare, so he scared Clasz away. So here Bane, as Faceless Void finally got a rid of Clasz, takes away a part of his new godly powers from timelord.
