Faebruary: I am very excited to share this monthlong project with you all! Regular viewers of this channel will know that a lot of my creative focus goes into Kroashent, my ongoing fantasy series. There's a ton of background lore for the series, so I thought it might be fun and helpful to run a little project to introduce to viewers new and old, to the characters and creatures of Kroashent, with a twist!
For the month of February (or rather "Faebruary!" I will be posting drawings of the characters of Kroashent as different creatures from Alvez, their world. To begin, these creatures will be the "Tuath", the sapient, social creatures of the world (think the playable species of D&D). (We'll address the beasties and things that go bump in the night in a future project)
Salia Blackwater: The Milliget daughter of a Lethan noble family, Salia has come into her own as a respected knight and military strategist, leading the elite "Dragons of Dreger", a Windguard unit reknowned for their skill and courage.
Marie-Morgane: The Marie-Morgane are a merfolk Tuath, bound to the fate of the sunken city of Ker-Ys and its prisoner, their beloved queen, Ahes Dahut. The "Daughters of Ys" are all former land-dwellers, now devoted to protecting their new home and sisters, rebuilding the Beacon City beneath the waves of the Mor Bras.

Val's Notes: I've written and drawn about the Marie-Morgane at length, visiting the Daughters of Ys every May for "Mermay", so not a lot to add here. Salia's armor here has shown up before, on Renee the Warrior, and is the armor of the garrison defending Castle Hill in Ys-Beneath-the-Waves, a mixture of sharkskin, turtleshell, coral and byssus, a fabric created from shellfish fibers. The capricorn is the emblem of the city, and is featured on the armor.
