I was the My Little Pony fiend back in the day. IT WAS ME.
I had a freaking MASSIVE Sweetberry plushie. It was amazing. >:V
But my first one I'm pretty sure was Sew-n-sew. She was AWESOME.

YES ONE MILLION TIMES YES i mean yeah, go for it. A good starting episode is Episode 9 - "Bridle Gossip" and if that doesn't get you hooked, don't give up. Seriously. Watch Episode 11 - "Winter Wrap Up", that's a good one. But you can't just watch it like a normal TV show, you have to WATCH THE FUCK OUT OF IT like you've never watched TV before. You have to like, pay attention to how top-notch the animation is, the character depth, and the plot. Seeeeriouslyyyy. Here lemee give you some links

I have a big collection of the old ones even though I wasn't around for that. I was a G2 baby. And G2 ponies today are my least favorite.
G3 reminded me of G1, but I HATED the illustrations, designs, and animations--I only liked them for customization. FiM revived old designs and edited them, which is one of the reasons why I like it so much. The earliest ponies have my favorite designs. :)
This is super cute. I love the haiiiir <3

I made a pony, but I dunno if I ever posted it...it came out pretty well, lol. I wanna try customizing the new tiny ones but I'm bad at it, I got stuck when I couldn't see how I'd thread in a new tail. It's actually pretty simple to do, the main thing is understanding paint vs. dye and that re-rooting is tedious.
Paint...if you put on enough layers and it dries right--and even more importantly, you add the right glaze, paint is fine, but I prefer dye, which gets the pony all at once and looks more like a "real" pony that you'd buy in a store when your'e done. Only problem is, random glue stains that you won't find UNTIL you dye a pony XP If I remember there's a way around that...
If you ever want to try your hand at it, a few things to remember are that it's time consuming, but easier than it looks, and that the internet is your best friend.
that, and always do garage sale ponies or bait ponies...it's tempting to buy a fresh white one and all but honestly the cost probably isn't worth it. (I'd still love a blank one someday just for ease of customization....X3)
